Home player: Martin Smith nutmegging Notts County's central defenders when he was playing up front on his own with us down to 10 men.

Jacobs, especially for his classy first half performance and that superb flick. Their sub Smith did a good job against him in the second half and the injury took its toll late on.

I wonder if Davies played. He's been missing for a very long time.
I hope Crowe did, as with Johnno on 9 bookings he may well be needed soon! It does sound as if Kitson had a very good game indeed.

Bayo - held the ball up really well and scored an excellent goal.

Jacobs. After a very indifferent first half, he was our only creative spark in the second.

Harding had a good first 45 but was responsible for an ill-advised pass on the edge of the box which set up their equaliser. I thought this affected him for the rest of the game.

Tozer, who was well supported by Langmead in dealing with the very many crosses arriving in our box.

My nephew from near Bristol - a Gas fan - did warn me from the start about GJ but, like many others, I got lulled into a level of optimism not in keeping with usual expectations.
