Does anyone know if Jack Daldy is related to John & Barry Daldy, the former Kettering and Wellingborough players ? It's not a common name is it?

True but on that basis Sean McWilliams has to go caught in possession for the third time that half. Pierre fir an awful back pass. All 3 to go.

A decent response from the club on what, to me at least, was a fairly unhelpful statement from the Trust.

The ACV is clearly a good thing and the Trust should be applauded for achieving it, but then they do themselves no favours by couching the announcement in quite aggressive language and undermining the credibility of their point by including at least one fairly major factual inaccuracy.
Also, the fact they were trying to gain a degree of control over the surrounding land by trying to include the athletics track in the ACV could be seen as an attempt to actually block (or interfere with) the owner's plans.  And people wonder why KT and Bower want to keep the Trust at arm's length...

Im struggling to see how its unhelpful.

Its about time the ownership had some pressure put on them. Thats not to say Im anti KC. But as things stand, other than carrying the very large wage bill he's bringing not a lot to the party. Whether thats his fault, the councils or another reason is quite irrelevant. Its clear as day that he will not spend a penny of his or his backers own money on sorting the ground out. We are very much where we were under DC. Its all about land. And until we have an owner/s that doesn't see NTFC as an opportunity to make a few bob, this saga will carry on and carry on.

Nice enough bloke, but for me he's served his time. And had done so a fair while back. I hope he sells us and sells us quick, we need fresh energy, new ideas and most importantly a few quid to chuck down the drain to help us out both off the pitch and on the pitch!!

Frustrating. Probably the most frustrating throw away of 2 points for a few seasons. Taken in isolation.

We were not great, far from it. But for 75 minutes we controlled the game, had the lead, Stevenage were never going to score.

Whilst it will go down as a goal keeping error, I do feel sorry for Cornell. He slipped. That can happen to anybody, Steve Gerrard anyone? Theres been loads of examples over the years, he will be gutted tonight though because other than that, they didn't have a single chance to score. Unless you count the cross where Taylor headed it away in the first half under big pressure from one of their forwards.

At the time, and leaving the ground, my mindset was Cornell had cost us 2 points. But quickly I came round to thinking, sh1t happens. One of those things.

I did think the subs were strange though. Assuming Taylor took a knock, surely it would have been better to put Crookes on? And the third sub...Morais would have made a lot more sense. That change killed our attacking intent and with the equaliser being scored shorty after, it meant we had to see out the game with a team 'set up to close the game out'.

Mid tables-ville. Difficult this evening seeing how this lot can get us much higher in the table than we currently are. And unless we go on a mini run between now and January, I expect the chairman to view things as 'seeing the season out' instead of a push for the play offs. You'd rule out bringing in loan players for starters, whats the point? Unless we look like we can realistically push for a top7 spot, Id rather us develop our own kids, throw in a couple of them to learn the ropes with next season in mind. We need 9 or 10 points from the 4 Christmas games to look at the January window as an opportunity to push on.

Cornell howler, cost 2 more points.

Anyone who dosent think we need a number 1 on Jan is mistaken as he will continue to cost us points

The guy is 20 and hasn't made any impact at all. Two 90th minute sub appearances. Compare this with other youth players' ages who made 15+ appearances in their breakthrough season:

Jacobs - 19
Johnson - 19
McWilliams - 19
Toney - 18
Chambers - 18

He's older than all of them and is now playing in the 8th tier. I want him to succeed, and am not saying that at 20 he is too old to break into the team, but realistically don't see it happening. He signed a professional contract in May'17 (2 years?) I'll be amazed if he gets it renewed.

I have to say itís a bit of a mystery with Joe .
I know itís a low level , but he scores goals wherever he goes but none of the managers give him a chance.
He must have something about him
He's way too lightweight for L2.
