I would take some convincing that Curle had a mid table league one budget but decided to assemble a mid table league two side, what was he doing with the surplus?

What I was getting at is that even if there was a figure.....and there is...... who decides whether its "s***e" or not? How do we know how it compares to the rest of the League? What are we judging it against?

We don't know how much Gillingham offered compared to how much we did, we don't know if they offered more and that has put them into more debt than it would have done had he not joined.....

Figures mean little when taken out of context and in isolation.

If I gave you a figure, you'd decide whether it was s***e or not....and the next person might not be in agreement with your assessment.....and so on!

I totally get you, but if you had all the figures of all the teams, would ours come closer to the highest figure or lowest/s***tiest
figure. It doesn't really matter what the figure is, it's whether it's comparable to our s***tiest rivals and whether it was spent wisely.

I noticed you've not included the left wing biased media from your list so for balance...

Channel 4 news - I watch this every night, I like the presenters, even though its politically VERY left wing. I guess its a bit like a Cobblers fan listening to the away commentary on iplayer!
The Guardian - hate mongering rag, on an absolute par with the Daily Mail but the other extreme/agenda. 'Intelligent' nutjobs read it.
The Mirror - thick people who find the Guardian a little bit too complicated.

Id consider myself a centrist, in some ways I'm right of centre, others left of centre. I haven't bought a newspaper for at least 15 years. Used to buy the Sun, read it back to front. Always found the sport an easy read whilst having lunch in my Mondeo when I was a sales rep. Rest of it was utter nonsense lol. Wouldn't feed it these days though, I've become more principled as I've got older!  Grin

Id consider voting for Labour if they got rid of the Corbyn element, which they are no where near to achieving. Find more of their prominent MP's despicable than I do Tory ones.

A solution for me would be for the momentum seeking lefties to fcuk orf and build their own unelectable party, and then Labour could provide a decent viable alternative. Labour would get far more voters like me than they would lose voters who are Momentum sympathisers. They can take Abbot, Corbyn and McDonnell with them, of course. As things stand, Id only vote Tory out of the three main parties in a general election because for me they are the least bad of the three options!!

Could almost have written that myself, Drilling! Although I've never bought the Sun...

Now we have 3 front players out injured, Miller, Ashley-Seal and Jones. Rose went off Saturday when a Bristol player landed on his ankle and it was swollen but no mention of him not making Fridays game. So short of options up front perhaps we should recall Harry from his loan at Motherwell where he has not started a game and is not included in their 20 man match squad or is he injured as well?.

Get Rico out there. He'd be a lot better than any of our other "options".

I know,.....he's not registered.

I don't have any clue what an acceptable budget would be or whether ours was s***e or not  and I know we're in the middle of a pandemic, but most of the rest of league 1 seem to have done enough to maintain their status. We couldn't even match Gillinghams financial clout to hang on to a striker who's had a very good season, although, admittedly I wasn't too fussed if he stayed and if he had probably wouldn't have been as successful as he has been.

So, with Alex Jones apparently injured and Brady blaming the training pitches at Moulton for being to hard. We have **** training pitches, **** pitch at our stadium, **** team on the pitch and **** times to live in and unable to attend games. That about sums everything up  Roll Eyes

Here here.
