Anybody know the best place to park? I can't find a section on the wrexham website and I am seeing conflicting info and prices when I search

How do

I'm a Wrexham fan and thought i'd pop in to give some advice. Since our take over, parking has become an absolute nightmare for anywhere near the ground (when I say this, I mean the streets around the ground and the uni car park next door!). Be really careful about parking around side streets in the very near vacinity as they are manned by stewards for resident only parking. Uni car park charges about £12 which is a rip off, but you should be able to park at B&Q or Sainsburys if you use yourparkingspace.co.uk. If you try Crispin lane, good luck as that is usually full by about 12.30. The club try and suggest council operated car parks in the town centre (I know Wrexham is a city but to us old schoolers it is still town), but if you head towards Rhosddu, you should be able to get street parking for absolutely nothing, and can be walked within 10 mins or so.

Regarding the game, i'm expecting a reaction from your drubbing as by all accounts it sounded like 1 bar the last 5 mins. I'm also expecting a reaction from our 2 away games. 0 goals and 1 conceded and 1 point and 2 very below par acceptable performances. I fancy anyone at home due to us being at home but fear everyone away as PP sets up completely differently. Style of play is very direct, we utilise wingbacks who sit further forward and Cannon and Lee are the driving forces in midfield to offer support to said wingers.

I'll come back on later before KO as i'm meant to be doing some work  Roll Eyes

Interesting post Drilling - not sure I agree with everything but you are certainly not talking crap.

I agree on the irritation of frequent cries of racism - to me it is simple - if you discriminate against someone in words or deed because of their race it is racism. Unfortunately the definition to some has softened to a point where factual observations or casual, non disparaging generalisations are deemed as racist.

Not at all Beds you constantly lie about 100 seats You posted that the capacity will increase from 7700 to 7800, Cant you see that you are wrong ? Capacity of Sixfields was 7,653, it is now 7798, its proposed to be 8,203 when finished, although that is to be confirmed.  So which ever way you look at it Beds the increase is more than 100, so just start dealing in facts not lies and maybe, just maybe people might just start listening to you a bit more.

At a cost of £390m! They should have just stuck some terracing behind the Clock End instead of the 10 boxes!
Idiots, ROI must be appalling, what were they thinking?

Just 4% of the catchment bothered to turn up to watch the best Rugby team in England, who on average only sold 84% of tickets. Which one of the 3 do Saints fall under?
Proof that no one wants to sit in the corners.
#84% capacity = full.
Further ground expansion needed at both ends of Weedon Rd.

Thanks, I have seen the university mentioned in a couple of places including the link you posted above. I found a site taking pre-booking for the university car park at £10 a car though so not sure if that site is scam or whether the ground guide link is outdated. I think we will just head there on the day and see
Plus, there is a pub/restaurant on the retail park just by the Uni. It always was away fans friendly.

Well Arsenal are the main club in London.
They attract 60000 a match.
The London population is c9m.
So 0.67% is really poor for former premier league champions.

I demand they get a bigger ground  Grin

Just 2% of Northampton towns potential 300,000 catchment bother turning up..So that is down to 1.. Poor ownership that fail to sell the club to its community.
2... Facilities at the ground is so uninspiring and non league that it's hard to expect new supporters to turn up and pay £25 ..of which for all the bigger games they can't because of such small capacity..
3.. Our club has no future plans, it's just wasted a vast £5.8m on a few boxes in a tiny stand.. our owners are looking for their pay day so how can anyone get excited enough to start going to watch Mothballed town fc?

Yes the ground guide is outdated. The University is £8 for blue badge holders and £10 otherwise. Might be worth it though, at least you're guaranteed a space and it's only a couple of minutes away.

Anyone truly wishing to reset their thoughts read this...

https://www.britannica.com/story/were-the-nazis-socialists

The following article explains why right wing supporters make this point...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/02/05/right-needs-stop-falsely-claiming-that-nazis-were-socialists/

When I've researched their political leaning previously (well googled it  Grin ) I've read lots of articles contradicting each other. My simplistic view is that there were elements of extreme right (much more so) and also extreme left. You couldn't get much of a bigger government than what Germany had back then, which is very much a left ideology. Their hatred towards Jews specifically I guess could be perceived as left wing (and their reason behind it).  That is the case still today, hardcore lefty's often have an 'issue' with Jewish people. Or at least always side against anything that they are deemed to be guilty of.

Im probably talking some crap and I apologise if that's the case  Grin BUT I have a general interest in this topic and Nazi Germany as a whole and much like the current conflict that this thread is about it is so complicated in terms of really understanding it all properly. So much contradiction. Hitler though definitely gathered a lot of his support with perceived socialist values. Remember the BNP or more current, EDL. Those parties were/are definitely racist to the core but Id say a lot of their support base wasn't/isn't, and in some respects even some of their representatives.

I find the whole left/right debate very pointless, it also irritates me when those on the political fringes shout out racist at any opportunity to each other. My personal belief is that the 5% extremes of either side of the political spectrum are in most cases all very racist. So many people say Boris is racist, well Id definitely say the same about Corbyn. 100%. Yet those who kept saying how racist Johnson is never accepted that Corbyn is as well. Strange that! Works vice versa as well, of course.
