The FACTS are. You can hardly put a fag paper between Brady (16th) and the man he replaced Curle (17th) in the all-time managers list.
What's this ranking based on?
From the Wikipedia page in the last 40 years, based on win % only Carr, Calderwood, Wilder and Wilson are above him. Of those, Carr and Wilder were definitely better. There's 18 managers below him in that time, including Atkins and Gray who had some success here.
Regardless, I don't think grading managers on pure statistics is that worthwhile since it misses context such as budget and relative opposition strength.
I'd rate Carr and Wilder as better managers, but Brady would definitely by my third pick. Things haven't gone well over the last month or so, but looking back at recent names (Hasselbaink, Page, Boothroyd, Johnson....) we could do a lot worse and I'm not convinced we'd be better off with someone else.
