For some time & from a distance I've been watching the dialog and banter on this board & have decided to join in the discussions. I know and have loved this club for many many years - most of them disappointing, so I have modest expectations.

Some posters on here are intelligent, witty and personable - others are frankly stupid.

I'm composing some pen pictures of regular posters - clearly only my opinion but if the cap fits, as the saying goes.

I shall post occasionally and without fear or predujice (or indeed Mr Moderator, without tracability).

How does this ' pen picture' of you and your cap fit?

Low expectations you say, so you expect everyone else to feel the same?
Wrong!
40 odd years of 4th tier football has this sporting town demanding more from its football club.
No one expects us to win the fa cup or get to the premier league any time soon, but an assault on league 1 in an attempt to establish our selves as a Championship team is well within the capabilities of a town with 220,000 inhabitants.
Just need the infrastructure in place, but that's as you know well covered somewhere else

Like Lift Tower says hope your not to "afar"
To some people your opinion is worthless unless you live a certain distance from the town centre, although we are all still waiting for clarification on what that distance is.

I wonder. When we play hartlepool away are people allowed to post their thoughts on the way back? Or must they wait for the Rugby masts to do so? Is it distance from ground, town or team never bright?

Could you please categorise each of us into the 'intelligent, witty and personable' or into the 'stupid' category? I can then inform my family members.

There is something faintly familiar in your style - to be frank it would not surprise me  if you had more than one alias on here. Not sure what you are trying to achieve as some of the posters whom I have met are perfectly charming people - but on here it all changes Angry
