Hi everybody,
I hope you don't mind the post.
I am a season ticket holder of the Cobblers and also the co-founder of Random Acts of Kidney, a fundraising group raising money for Kidney Research. We have been selected by the club to be one of the charities they support over the next season. We will be doing a bucket collection at the Luton game in March and have a few other things planned throughout the season.
I am posting here for 2 reasons.
1) Open to ideas on things the fans would like to see yet also help raise funds. We have been allocated two players Carter and Tozer who will be able to attend a couple of the things we organise. If anybody has any ideas on what they would be interested in attending / supporting please do let me know. Ideas have been around the usual fundraisers such as Race Nights, Quizzes, etc at Sixfields, evening event with music, sporting auction elsewhere to Penalty Shoot outs involving the players at one of the Car Boots etc.
2) One thing we are considering setting up is some form of Dream Team Mini League for NTFC supporters. It would cost £5 to enter is with all money going to Kidney Research. There would be prizes such as a Signed NTFC shirt for the winner, Signed Ball for 2nd place and would ideally have some prizes at the halfway mark too. I was hoping to get a couple of players involved but this would breach betting rules. I will try and get 1 or 2 ex cobblers involved but no guarantees.
Would anybody be interested - if so I was thinking either
www.dreamteamfc.com or
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/.
Both are Free to enter a team. Benefits to Dream Team is it runs itself with just a few transfer windows so easier to "manage" whereby to do well on the Fantasy Football League it requires more input but is more popular I feel.
Does anybody have an opinion?
You can check out the website here (It is due some big changes in next couple of weeks!)
http://randomactsofkidney.co.uk/ We have raised £5370 to date (In just under 12 months)
Any feedback is appreciated.
