Yep, I agree, I think he should at the very least block the second.

What also stands out though is the time and space given to the goalscorers for the first and third.

If you think about loan goalies, Archer has a touch of the Sam Walker's about him.

Lee Nicholls was a similar age and he had no issues with commanding his area

I'd rather not think about loan 'keepers, I think it's the most important position on the pitch, and you should be left begging and borrowing for that position.
If you can't have 2 goalkeepers of sufficient quality and a yoof to stick on the bench on your books, then your really failing as a football club.

Loan goalies, Wilder's decisions, the Development Crisis. The decent thing would be to just close the club down.

I fully expect Duke to be playing in goal on Tuesday & Tozer restored to full back - resulting in a surge up the table..........

I think duke will have to play another reserve game before he's selected again.

Archer has made mistakes but to speak up for his talent, two of his saves - a low shot at the far end which was a "cert" goal, and ditto the header at our away end in the second half that was a point blank "definite" goal which Archer kept out by some amazing backward twist the like I've never seen before - both rank as two of the best saves I have ever seen. You can see why Spurs signed him, all he has to do now is to improve his learning of the more mundane aspects of his game. They can be taught and drilled into him, hopefully, over time but the raw reflex we saw in those two stunning saves cannot.

Even I've started to accept he's actually a good keeper in the making Steve...and you are right about the saves. The one he made last week during the 2nd half was incredible as well.

But his organisation skills and communication are non existent, as you may have implied to a degree. And because of that, is a a huge factor why he are conceded so many goals. The other significant reason being Alfei.

Both are on loan, so I see no benefit for us developing them to a reasonable standard. The left back at least brings something to the party 'here and now' which any loanee must do to warrant a place of a contracted player.

So on the basis he's made three saves in the last two game both games we have lost (conceding 5 goals) we should accept that in the 8/10 games he's played he lets in an average of 2-3 goals per game many of them that are very saveable. Still he kicks it a long way.

We've got the worst keeper in the land.
He's Scottish and he's probably earning somewhere around 5k a week from Spurs. No idea why the national team is failing.

His kicking is good and has finally made some good saves, but his command of the area, organisation and positioning are generally poor and he, along with Alfei is a major reason why we have conceded so many goals recently.

What was he doing for that freekick that hit the woodwork in the 2nd half? Won't be paying £20 to watch a keeper worse than me again. And to think of the stick Chris Dunn got, i'd give my left little toe nail to have him back in goal right now. As long as it didn't effect my balance too much.
Also one of those "good saves" was straight at him but he made a meal of it, and the uneducated amongst you seemingly bought it.
Young, Scottish and black. Isn't where it's at and that's a fact.

Not a league standard keeper.

I saw enough of him when he played for Wycombe and we beat them 3-0 under Boothroyd to convince me he is pants, I now definitely know he's pants.
