How , in the name of jumpin jiminey is he not to blame? He is a goal keeper , his very purpose in life is to stop goals . Alright he didn't make a mistake like throwing the ball into his own net but if he is sitting at home not wondering how he might have done better then he should be considered for the role, not that I'm advocating Archer by the way he ships goals like they are going out of fashion. Two thing are vitally important for keepers ,one is don't make a stupid mistake, but secondly occasionally attempt to get your body in the way so the ball doesn't go into the net.
He`s no Manuel Neuer, But Dook really was not to blame for any of the goals. Sunday league defending was.

I disagree , he was as much to blame as Tozer was for failing to show him downside the wing for the second or Langers for failing to put in a decent tackle. Murdoch should be sent back from whence he came for his part.

The goals wernt dookys fault but certainly not blameless.

No keeper can concede 3 and not think he could not have done better. I like Duke btw and number 1 by a stretch over Archer for me,  nice guy too in my experience but come out, smell the danger, spread yourself he can be proactive in some situations not just reactive.

Yep fair enough, Just think in this instance we would have conceded regardless. Pity with regards to Murdoch, Thought he looked a decent player in previous games. Top strike though.

It's almost as if one bad moment has made Wilder totally change his mind about him.

I'm sure that isn't the case though. CW would have made a measured decision based on the data of 3 months of matches. Yep!

The problem is that Duke, and Archer, are rarely more than "OK".
We need a solid keeper as a matter of some urgency. Then perhaps, we can establish some form of defence in front of him. Judging by the current managers words, Creswell, Diamond, and Horwood, will comprise three parts of this. Hopefully, Tozer will not complete the four, as he is not, and never will be a full back.

always reminds me of an interview with Graham Carr about Peter Gleasure, when he said he kept him because he had to remember he was playing behind a struggling defence.

Duke is a solid keeper. I can count the points he had cost us in two spells on one hand. I'm not saying there is nobody better, but there are much bigger fish to fry at present.

WTF though! After weeks of backing Archer blindly, finally common sense prevails. But on what basis? Suddenly he's changed his mind and the bloke is not even good enough to be at the club?

Is Wilder that fickle? Has he just completely lost his grip?

Or did Spurs insist Archer should be first choice, so now he isn't he has to go back?

Is DC refusing to pay wages for a second choice GK in the now bloated squad so he has been sent back for financial reasons.

We'll never know.

Whatever way you look at it, it's a f@cked up situation though.

Who cares?! He wasn't very good and now he's gone, never to reappear above conference level.

Glad he's gone, but my gosh, what a waste of points and money. Starter to sent back as quickly as Duke was shelved.
