Ex-Cobblers on the scoresheet were very hard to find today!! Henderson and Moult are the only two I can see in the top five divisions.

Bowditch i'll give you....but Luke Wilkinson? I can't remember the story with him but we did sign him on loan yet he never made an appearance. Is he a "former Cobbler" if he never played for us?!  Wink

Fair comment and I don't know what the answer is but Courtney Cameron and Luke Graham are listed in the goalscorers and neither of those made an appearance for us either! Wink

I've added Dean Bowditch, for some reason he didn't come up on Sporting Life as a goalscorer.

In terms of when does a Former Cobbler get included on the chart, the most important principle is taken from the Disclaimer beneath: "The Hotel End reserves the right to make the rules up as it goes along."  Whilst I am not a proper bona fide official of The Hotel End, I am the self appointed (I can no longer remember how I got into doing it although I think Tyro had something to do with it) representative who updates the Former Cobblers Exploits and therefore the one who makes up the "rules".

In this case the "rules" are currently interpreted as a loanee who never played a game because they were not good enough to displace the crook of s***e we had on the pitch at the time would not get included, whereas a youngster brought through the youth ranks as "one of our own" and playing for the first team appropriate for their age, would get included.  If Hornby Jnr ever gets a professional goal for a team in the top five divisions, he would get a mention provided my successor has the same mind set as me.

Other "rules" include only the top five divisions (and Scottish top couple) goals counting for inclusion in the chart as I can't be arsed to look through the entire non-league scene, although I would welcome contributors to let us know of Scott McGleash's/Larry's latest hatrrick.  Also any goal scored in a Peterborough shirt wouldn't count although an own goal or sending off would count.  If I need to explain why, you're on the wrong forum.

Remember the bottom line is

"The Hotel End reserves the right to make the rules up as it goes along."

Saido and Billy one each today.

Further down the league ladder there were goals for Lewis Wilson (for Oxford City in the Conference South), Jake Robinson (for Whitehawk in the same division) and David Moyo (techinally not a former Cobbler I know!) scored the only goal of the game for Brackley in the Conference North.

Berahino decided to hog all the goals today, the only ex-Cobbler on the scoresheet as far as I can see.....and he bagged four against the mighty Gateshead!
