We should have a word with betty Boothroyd to get air Ivan involved with England u19.

Start putting some £££ on what will be our first 1 million pound player.

You just know the scum will put in a pathetic bid just before deadline day... then sell him on in January for about 5 million  Roll Eyes

Let's make sure we get proper bucks for him with a decent sell on clause too...

He's just signed a new 3 year deal so hopefully that should guarantee a decent fee...

I put him ahead of crackers... he has everything in his locker, pace, strength, touch, eye for goal & is superb in the air... The flick on for Rico was pure determination. The boy has real swagger...

I hope we don't sell him anytime soon. I'm really enjoying watching him blossom wearing the claret & white

It seems pretty clear CW wants his first team to be an experienced, street wise team. Can only be good for Toney to learn from them to make him a cleverer player, but i think CW will stick with experience unless Toney forces his hand with strong performances.

Quite a nice dilemma to have though, whether to play JJOT or Toney or both!

We should wary not to boost him up to much, he a good prospect but take care, he is still young and still learning, let him continue to do that and he will, with the correct care, be a very good player. The media has made very big noises about good prospect's and done more harm than good.

Potentially a great player but can be a little bit "Bambi on the ice" at times. I think Wilder will look after him and he will grow into a superb player. I'm happy with him coming on as sub at the moment and tearing league two defenders apart with his pace and ability as they tire.

Spot on. He needs to be eased in.

Get what your saying about looking after him but from what I've seen he has the ability to stretch defenses from the outset. He is an exciting player. If he continues in same vein and improves then fans will want him in the team.

I love how he is such a constant nuisance. That was a decent Championship defence tonight and they really didn't look comfortable with Toney.
Imagine what he is going to be like when he starts filling out, gaining strength and being more solid on those pins?

I hope we get to see it.

Players such as Ricketts and Stearman are very experienced and good defenders. 2nd half Toney really made himself a nuisance and caused them a problem. Well impressed with him tonight.

Was speaking before the game to a couple of friends about the sales of Bunn, Jacobs, Chambers and Johnson. We haven't received a good transfer fee at all for all four players. We need to keep Toney and PLAY him but if he does go whether this summer/January or next season we need to sell for a high price and a percentage for future sale

Toney is the first striker we have had that is our own product and will command a decent fee.

Strikers automatically go for more money than other areas on the pitch so when we sell him I'd expect him to be our biggest sale to date.

Best chance of being our first £1m player since Christian Lee.
