total tosh - our esteemed colleague came out with vitriolic comments which were hardly opinions more like a personal vendetta. You chose to support him; perhaps the cider clouded your judgement. Your supposed to be a NTFC fan and not into making negative comments on a promising 19 yr old player.

Here we go again, with the playground style slate, because opinions don't match yours  Grin

To be fair, I've only ever seen Toney in the flesh twice, so I guess I'm going to get slated for even daring to offer an opinion.

Nobody would slate you for your quite reasonable comments  - they are at least measured ones. They are not the sort of vitriolic outburst's coming out from one or two on here who incidentally did not even go to the game. I just hope Toney does not read these comments from so called NTFC fans.

Rubbish , you made playground comments on a young 19yr old player which in my view were unwarranted particularly as you have seen little of the player.  Your comments on opinions cuts no ice with me when they are framed in the manner you put them.

Don't follow you at all especially convoluted rhetoric. I don't go to every away game and obviously don't keep lists. Suggest you keep to the thread which is about Toney.............Good luck in that!

Not a clue ; just guessing but if you have seen Toney play a few games you would recognise the potential promise in him.

Lets hope that some on here follow your advice!

I'm not offering advice, just a personal opinion - I don't tell others what to think. Please leave me out of your playground nonsense.

That's the thing with Toney, is he has potential. Is he as good as Richards? No. Is he as good as Richards at 19? Yes. Shame we had to see Rico consistently scoring goals at other clubs in the same division as us whilst we've had so much dross amongst our squad. Would love nothing more than to see Toney develop into a regular goalscorer for US.

He needs to mature, he is a little volatile, but he is very young and with the right training, he could drive this side of his game out, good luck Ivan and remember you NEVER stop learning. over to you Mr Wilder and co.

Bollocks to that, how about a swap deal where we get Bradders and Bunny (& Norwich pay 75% of their wages).

D'Ath doesn't have more potential in my opinion.

Norwich wanted Toney when Wolves were in for him.

Excellent point - I found Richards an incredibly frustrating player when he was here first time - he went from classy goal scoring machine to a somewhat can't be arsed attitude in a subsequent game. On maturing & perhaps because he did move on, he became a class act, a career to be proud of, albeit just falling short of the very highest level. I think Toney has every bit the same potential & possibly more - he should be encouraged and more importantly guided as the suggestion is he could be led astray - last couple of games I've seen him he already seems more mature not rising to the bait of some intentionally heavy challenges. I hope he stays!

I respect your opinion but a 22 yr old goal scoring midfield playing week in week out and has been more consistent than Toney this year, i know who i would be looking at!

Oh and it was Brentford who were in for Toney at the same time as Wolves but they both seen the light and opted to buy better in the case of wolves.
