I know the loan window opens next week but i imagine this will be the group we go with now. So how would you like to see us line up if everyone was fit? 442/352? Many options available, I would probably go Duke Tozer Cresswell Collins Hackett. Horwood Byrom carter o'toole K mo Rico
I actually struggled to decide who would start, toney seems like a great impact player currently but will soon be needing to start. Diamond has been excellent but I like tozer in a 3. Never had this many options! Would like o toole in the hole but k mo has to play!
Your turn!

Not directed at you in particular lordjord but I always find it strange that people think players at our level can easily skip between formations at the drop of a hat whereas in the Premier League (and virtually all elite levels of the game) any significant change of formation is associated with a slow and arduous transitional period.

Fair point but a lot of these players have played 3-5-2 previously. Also perhaps fortunately it's not my choice who actually plays.

Duke Collins - Diamond - Cresswell - Horwood Hackett - Carter - O'Toole - Mohamed Toney - Richards
Sinclair, Byrom, Ravenhill, Robertson, Langers, Tozer and Watson (?) all good options off the bench. We've got depth.

This. Although I suspect it might be too attacking when playing away from home/against a top three side. I also suspect that Byrom and/or Watson will be expecting to start games on a fairly consistent basis. The one certainty for me is that Hackett and Mohammed should start and should play on the wing rather than wingback. They remain our most dangerous and creative players IMO and we should be set up to play to their strengths. RyanAmoo makes a very valid point. I remember GJ returning from a trip to Barcelona and trying to get us playing 4-3-3 with Jacobs and Robinson either side of Akinfenwa and Turnbull in the Xavi role and Tozer doing his best Busquets impression . The result? We got overrun by teams playing a conventional 4-4-2. There's a reason why 99% of teams at this level still play 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or very occasionally 3-5-2.

I think centre back is the interesting one. Who will be the preferred partnership? You would assume Collins has to play when fit as he's captain. Diamond and Cresswell are rather similar, Collins has the ability to bring the ball out from the back, also has a little more pace.

I reckon BigCityLights is right. Collins could be the solution to the right back issue. I would submit that a back four of Collins Cresswell Diamond and Horwood would be pretty much the best in the division.

Different team for different occasions for me...we have so many options.
The only permutation I am not for though is one where JJ plays central in a midfield 4. He has to play in an advanced role for me...

To be fair CW is hardly facing the selection headaches that Van Gaal now has, although I guess it's all relative. I think O'Toole needs an early wake up call and spell on the side lines. I'd prefer to see a 4-4-2 (at least at home) with Toney/Sinclair fighting for a place alongside Richards.

I still prefer Toney as a sub coming on in the 2nd half at the moment - Wilder got it right on Saturday.

By letting Nicholls go on loan and only having 3 proper strikers (not counting Moyo) i'd guess CW is looking to play an attacking 4-5-1 with the options on the bench to switch it to a 4-4-2 if the game isn't going our way.
Duke Collins Diamond Cresswell Robertson Hackett Ravenhill O'Toole Byrom K Mo Rico
Switching to this:
Duke Collins Diamond Cresswell Robertson Hackett Ravenhill D'Ath/Carter K Mo Rico Toney/Sinclair
