The Football League wrote the contract with the broadcaster. They should set up a binding agreement to force the highlights to be shown each week and midweek. I don't see how the BBC is to blame here.

I see BBC have lost the rights to football league highlights and Channel 5 will be showing them next season at a more decent time of 9pm.
Will be interesting to see if they can do better than ITV and BBC.

They wont do anything. There's always an uproar on social media when it happens and as BBC have lost the rights to it to C5 nothing will happen
Hopefully C5 will show when there are no Championship games

9pm is too early, if you support someone like Hartlepool or Plymouth and you've been to see an away game you're probably not going to be home in time. I think I preferred the highlights being in the post-MOTD slot.
