Awesome display tonight from these 2. If they can both stay fit then i see no reason why come the end of the season we won't have yet another squeaky bum time, but this time at the right end of the table.

c'mon you cobblers.

Don't think Kaid played with Ricco before

I must admit I did not think Richards would do as big a job for us this season as he has done, thought he was a great signing but didn't see him being as physical, pacey and a team player as he has been.

Brilliant professional with an obvious footballing brain.

If we could secure Mohammed permenantly he would be worthy a three yr deal too, in my opinion. Is his contract up at end of season?

There were those who thought we were taking a big risk by getting him in on such a long deal 'at his age'. CW strikes again!

Yes, but he's 30. I wouldn't give him more than one year at a time personally, wingers are all about pace and stamina, and when Kaid's legs go (which they will do at some point in the next few years) he'll lose a big part of what makes him tick. Don't get me wrong though, it's a delight to watch a player like him in a Northampton shirt at the minute. Shame we couldn't have got him a few years back, incredible to think he spent most of his twenties playing for clubs like Bath City, Forest Green and Cheltenham.

I suspect Mohammed is the kind of player who is very ineffective if he isn't part of a team that plays to his strengths.

Thankfully this side is about playing with pace and width which suits him down to the ground.

Doesn't getting to the play off final when they didn't count as finishing above them?

If, for the sake of argument, you counted points from the play off games as a 48-game season, we would have finished four points above them, so I think it is arguable...but very much look forward to your next deeply miserable one-line harrumph in response.  Smiley

Yeah I'm liking this imaginary points system too. So the -6 points we should have incurred for the abysmal performance against Bradford should have seen us firmly rooted in ninth place.  Wink

if, for the sake of the real world and not imaginaryland you just got points from games you won or drawn, we'd have finished below them

It's a league: the format is home and away games and play offs to decide promotion. One team gets closer to promotion than another: which one has had the better league season?

That isn't the question. It was who finished above who. They finished above us. You can't argue against facts and stats - don't make me go and get Marvo!
