Unlike us, Cheltenham are not the beneficiaries of a rather substantial Council loan. Therefore they have to maximise their income. I'd rather see the issues our supporters face at home addressed, rather than argue the toss over a quid here and there with Cheltenham.
At the end of the day each club can charge visiting fans whatever they like as that is their prerogative. I do however agree with a previous poster in that it would be fairer to have set fees across the board for away fans dependent on which league your playing in. I can't see it happening though as one of,if not THE biggest problem in football in my opinion is that of each clubs self interest rather than an interest in the sport as a whole and the fans who subsidise it and who without their contributions there would be no national sport. I go to matches if I think they represent good value for money(irrespective of whether i can afford it) and I was intending to go to cheltenham but I will give it a miss, which is my prerogative. My take is if you blindly pay for anything in life without questioning its merit then you can find yourself on a slippery slope. A case in point being my sky subscription,I decided I needed to economise so I wanted to get rid of my sky package(I had the lot sports,movies,3d,Internet,phone calls as well as a stand alone ruk channel,it was costing £82 a month so I phoned up to cancel as when I weighed it up it was over a grand a year just for some telly. Voila, rather than lose my custom I got a great big reduction on my monthly bill which wouldn't of happened unless I'd sat back and determined whether I thought it was a fair price. Anyway at £23 to watch cheltenham plus transport and a bit of grub it would probably be nearer to £50 and whilst I fully understand that some fans would go whatever the price, which is their prerogative, when I sit back and weigh it up their is a lot I can do with £50 rather than spend it on an afternoons entertainment. Each to their own though.

Ring them up and say 400 plus are coming to the game on the condition we pay a maxium of £18.00 on the day otherwise almost total boycott. Costing several thousands in lost revenue. It won't be long before a club who have supporters with a strong conviction to call the bluff of a greedy clubs chairman. We should organise it for Stevenage away, £24 ...Your having a laugh, several hundred fans willing to pay £15 or total boycott! Just think of the publicity we as a club would achieve and watch as all other clubs adapt the 'Northampton stance' as it will be known by the national press. In reality I'll be fleeced at the gate like the rest of you sheep

I know a boycott won't happen BUT we could boycott everything but the match. Don't use the clubhouse , go to the social club round the other side, don't buy any food or anything else.

I agree that issues at home are more important and I won't be worried about a quid or two but it will be for some. I certainly think fair ticket pricing is more worthy of discussion than some of the cr@p that gets debated.

Personally I think boycotts are going to be the only way ticket prices are sorted out.
It wouldn't take more than a couple of rounds of PL and FL matches at empty grounds for the penny to drop.

You get what you pay for at Accrington , you stand outside ,get soaked if it rains ,so its cheaper than Sixfields where you sit down under cover.
