D'Ath was good in the first half, constantly harrying and forcing errors in the Morecombe defence, but didn't do as much before getting subbed.

Collins - I'd forgotten we had a defender who can play football as well as being solid.

Agree but for Archer's one handed save makes him my choice

I didn't go Evers but how can the keeper get mom when the opposition only had one shot on target and we won 1-0 away against a team higher in the league and with 9 injuries?!

Because if he hadn't saved it we would not have won?

His one handed save was imo game turning point
I prefer to stick up for the underdog and he has had to take some
Pretty nasty stick on here

So what your saying is heart ruled head...

He's took some stick because he's not been very good! Anyway, I will not hi-jack this thread anymore, I didn't go so that's it from me on the matter! Glad he played well and pulled off a save that stopped them equalising. Overall I'm sure you will agree that I'm mr positive this season!

Lee Collins was very impressive today, won almost every aerial challenge and made some decent challenges.

But personally I think anyone that manages to keep Kevin Ellison quiet has done pretty well so my vote is for Tozer, Ellison had a go at both full backs and got nothing out of either. Tozer is a million times the player that Alfei is.

D'Ath

should be interesting poll as we now have 4 or 5 different nominees - I thought also that Watson (him in scarlet boots!) played very well also. Well I thought it was Watson(fair headed player) really kept charging through especially in 1st half.

As mentioned above Collins was excellent and Tozer had a good game to but my vote is for Toney. The lad is improving his all round game every week. Good anticipation for the goal and very clever in the closing stages of the game when drawing the opposition into fouling him to reduce any pressure on our defence. Also noted when we were trying to pressure the Morecambe defence into keeping the ball in their half that he had an issue with O'Toole not pressing behind him and let him know about it! Grin

A keeper does his job, makes one save in a game and he's worshiped?

If I praised my paper girl every time she delivered the paper, I would of been locked up along time ago.
