Immediately. No player since Ashley Corker has annoyed me more.
He's useless and Wilder needs telling. Because he clearly doesn't agree with 99percent of other people who have seen him play. Tozer is so superior it's rediculous we are even having this conversation...

Did you have an 'Alfei clause' written into your Champions elect prediction?

I thought he was having his best game for us, and then their second goal, uncontested near post header from a free kick and he never moved. So basic.

Might not be a universal view but I actually think he is better going forward than Ben and supports Hackett well when we are attacking. He just isn't a very good defender when we are on the back foot. I do understand why Wilder sometimes wants him in the side though.

His first job is to defend!

I agree with this... he is more mobile than Tozer and as you say better going forward. BUT he's less of a threat in both boxes, Tozers throw is a big weapon and he simply cannot defend at all well. In a wing back system there would be an argument to play him ahead of him but not in a 4-4-2. He's also not ours. And for a loanee to be picked ahead of a contracted player it needs to be very justified. In this case it isn't.

As one who hates professional criticism in my works, I refrain from being critical towards our players but that said I would hope to see 2 changes to the back 4 next week!

We need a new right back as Tozer is not good enough either. Or play three centre backs and Hackett as wing back.

At this level, the defensive side of a full backs game is FAR more important IMO. The overlaps and the one or two assists Alfei has been responsible for pale into significance when you consider the 5-6 goals he has arguably cost us.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the terrible challenge that have the free kick away in the first place! Two wrongs make a......complete and utter f*** up.

He's just a bit too lightweight. Rolling around on the floor after getting the slightest nudge is not acceptable for a defender.
I actually thought he was doing well for the first 30 minutes or so today, then he just capitulated. Especially when we had one really good spell of good football, the ball was played wide to him and he missed the ball, I saw him do this whilst warming up too.
The one thing that annoyed me most about his time here was away to Pompey in the league - despite whether the ball went out he should have gone in hard on their winger. He just fails to possess the physical nature required to be effective. He could make an okay winger at Conference level or below as he can cross a ball well but as others have mentioned the primary job of a defender is to defend!
Wilder made a mistake letting McSweeney go. Said it from day 1.

Jaydon Gibbs is performing well at Aldershot in the right full back role...

Didn't go today but I've thought for a while now that we need a new RB and LB.
Collins may be the left back we need.
I am unconvinced by Cresswell.
