Playing Alfie is myopic nonsense based on the AB type pig headed style  - I don't think Archer is a terrible keeper but Duke without a doubt, give more confidence to the back four AND he is a contracted rather than loan player so I really dont understand.

I agree with your summary - has NP seen Archer play in the away games! This petty hate session directed against Archer is small minded when he has saved us from heavier defeats. Poor old Alfei - his card is marked now and only a hat trick against Luton will now save him! Having seen him play against Pompey earlier in the season I did not think he was up to it.

When Archer stops saving us from heavier defeats and starts saving us from defeat by not conceding soft goals I may well change my mind about him. If people think he is a keeper worthy of his place in the team then I respect their opinion but I do not share it. I would love to be proved wrong.

Oh come on, everybody knows that no means yes just like glasses come free on the N.H.S but the more I look through them the more I see I'm becoming more like Alfie.

I thought Alfei looked good when he came on against Sileby Rangers. Also thought the same about O'Toole after his hat trick.
How wrong i was.

There is a big difference between Sileby Rangers  than div four!

Worst player in his position in living memory, if ever.

Can anyone else recall a worse RB than him?

I don't care if he had a good game at Tranmere, he was absolutely useless!!

Tough one about weather he was our worst ever right back or not. Jason Pasco has been the RB in my worst ever eleven for years...and was a potential captain of it as well! So that one could be debated eternally.

Either way, he would make the matchday 18!  Grin

Chris Wilder confirmed today that Alfei was sent back to Swansea because ' he just didn't know what it was all about'.

I'm sorry for the lad that it didn't work out for him, but it cost us a lot of goals and points. Now we have a chance to plug that gaping hole at right back where we have been so exposed. If Wilder could be more consistent in his team selections then we have a chance of turning things round.

Sometimes it does not work out for loan players.  We were hoping for Kyle Walker and we got a Paul Rodgers.

Keeping him any longer was only going to the lad damage.
