Greetings from sunny South Yorkshire.
I'm a Wednesday season ticket holder and regular away supporter but am not going to our game away at Charlton next weekend. Instead I am having a family weekend away in Northampton and I thought I'd take in a game at your fine stadium whilst I was at it.
I do have a couple of questions though, if you could be so kind to answer them.
1) Do you have a home end behind the goal? Your club website only offers two stands at the same £20 price. I assume these are matching stands down the touch line but I can't find a lower priced goal side end.
2) Do you sell out games like this? I'm trying drag my 8 year old daughter along. She is a fellow home and away regular and I'm trying to get her to as many grounds as possible (currently about 32) but it looks like her mum and her sister are going to go to the cinema whilst I'm at the game and she is umming and arrghing about whether to go to the game or go to see a film. She probably won't make her mind up until on the day, so pay on the day would be a better option. However I don't want to risk this if it could sell out.
3) If pay on the day is an option, is it the same price as buying in advance? Some clubs these days charge more for pay on the day.
4) Any advice on any good (family friendly) things to do when in town? We'll be there from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Dan

North stand is behind the goal and it is the same price as the West stand with the East currently closed. With the price being the same you will get a much better view in the West stand Wink Tickets should be available on the day but they include a £2 increase on advance purchase.

Cheers. Surprised it's the same price behind the goal. Can't imagine many people choose that stand then. If it could potentially cost me £4 more on the day, I'll probably buy in advance and risk wasting the ticket.

you might also want to park in cinema car park and walk across the road to the ground . in which case check out getting a car pass . some supporters get parking tickets if using cinema car park . not sure if this is still an issue but worth asking or someone on here will know i'm sure .

Park in the Pizza Hut/Bowling car par, its free, right outside the ground, and no risk of getting a ticket.

Not sure I can trust this parking advice. Luckily I am staying at the Travelodge a few hundred yards from the ground so parking is sorted.

You may be confused as to why the home fans appear to boo their own players, whilst cheering one of the away teams players. The reasons for this are too complicated, controversial, and convoluted to explain in the time that remains before the match, so it is best just not to worry about it.

I think it is good that neutrals are thinking of coming to Sixfields. I think the travelodge is just across the main road from the ground, 10 minutes walk max. If so, then walk. If you do drive park up by the bowling alley/pizza hut for free and no chance of a ticket. Do not park outside the Bella Italia. Best buy tickets in advance to save the £2 each and also you'll get a better choice of seat. West Stand is your place. Food inside the ground isn't very good and expensive. We are currently in shocking form and have a raft of injuries so you will hear plenty of moaning if we aren't winning after 5 minutes. The biggest cheers will probably be for a Wimbledon player (Bayo Akinfenwa) who is a Cobblers legend. He will probably score against us as we have a habit of letting former players score against us (3 times in the last 3 games believe it or not). I hope you enjoy the game and it would be good to hear your experience and how it compares to some of your other games/grounds you have been to. The East Stand is currently being rebuilt, but work has stopped for contractual reasons so you will probably hear different rumours as to what has gone wrong!

Would you say the same to those Wednesday fans who go on the Kop at Hillsborough?
But yes, West Stand Upper towards the away end is the place to be for atmosphere.
Welcome back Bayo....though I'll be in Belgium trying to claw back some of the €2.25 billion with Mr Bullingdon Club.
If Brussels doesn't listen...I'm on the beers!

Because a season ticket was only £250 so we are all the tight c***s behind the goal

Enjoy your trip. The Cop at Hillsborough is cheaper than down the sides as it is at most clubs in my experience. Admittedly though, it is only about 20% cheaper max these days.

Is that so?  I stopped reading it in May.  Will it tell me anything about Redevelopment or is it just grown men bickering?
