Can someone tell me the last time we owned a decent left back, who wasn't permanently injured? I reckon it's been at least 17 years, and i'm not entirely sure he was that good.

Not since Ron Patterson has anyone filled the position with grace and artistry.

I remember when we got a write up likening Crowe and Jackman to Cafu and Carlos. Seems so long ago ...

Horwood was very good last season Seems like a long time ago since we had a regular good right back (which we often had before - norton, clarkson, crowe)

We'd have it until January when at least two of them would be transferred out and replaced by "undisclosed fee" and "running costs"

Who was the one that went to Rochdale? Came from Wellingborough? Calderwood knew he made a mistake letting him go and tried tapping him up trying to get him to come back.

Jerry was a decent right back and despite his less than exemplary exit Peter Gilbert was a decent left back too. forgot about him.

Indeed I'd forgotten about Gill, was very decent, another player we let go too early if I remember right
