Going to be very tough that one, but 10 days should be enough to get McKenzie back. Barnet after Port Vale though, which is very much more winnable.

Yes, well chuffed with that...and particularly for Sammo. I said before Saturday that I would review the case for a new manager after Lincoln...well, thats 2 wins from 2 so enough said for the time being!

They should be able to take a lot of confidence from a solid 2-0 away win...progression in the cup on Saturday and things will start to look a little rosier. The Wedders/Osman partnership though has a lot to answer for...because in front of an inexperienced and mistake prone defence they will help protect things alot.

I'm hearing Nigel Wedderburn was the stand out player tonight, Gilligan not far behind.

I am so, so pleased I went. Victorys at Lincoln are very rare and that one couldn't have come at a better time.

When things opened up in the second half we played some lovely stuff with the midfield playing very well. The back four were solid only looking weak when Dunny should really have come out to collect on a number of occasions.

And yes, Guinan did hit the bar from the corner of the box.  Shocked

Indeed, a quick look shows we last won at Lincoln in 1991/92, and only one other win before that in 1970/71.

Now 3 wins in 26 visits to Sincil Bank.

Yes, I was there. The only Cobblers fan in a crowd of 6800.I jumped in the air when Bill Lockett scored the winner. I then started a lone rendition of  Que sera sera and was immediately surrounded by dozens of thugs in flat caps. The good old days!
