I think a few people are getting way ahead of themselves - 4 days ago we were going down and now we're going to Wembley? Mid-table will be a solid result this year considering the mess we managed to get ourselves in. Only the Championship play-off will be played at Wembley this season. Leagues One and Two play-offs will be at Premier League grounds. This was confirmed on Five Live a few weeks ago with the head of the Football League. Wembley is booked for another event over the play-off weekend. I thought they wanted the pitch to "rest" so the Champions League Final could be held there?

No, the way they whinged and whinged about the referee after the game at Sixfields last season (probably the first decent ref we'd had for a while), couldn't wait to attack the Cobblers and our "gameplan" when they were the ones who tried to turn up and clog their way to a point. They just come across as an arrogant, self-righteous, delusional bunch and their hooligan element are complete morons, I believe they attacked a pub in town with tear gas a few years back. I agree, the game when they kicked us off the pitch but blames the ref for givng a free kick every time.

My workmate (The Lincoln fan) gave me his summary of last night:
"Both teams were crap, Lincoln controlled the first half, Cobblers only had one shot which they scored from. Second half Lincoln fell apart which allowed the Cobblers to get on top."
You lot were right, I said to him today, if we only had one shot, how come we scored from a rebound off the post?

A mid table finish is unacceptable and represents failure. I would expect Sammo to be under big pressure if we failed to qualify for the play offs, not least because both he and DC said they were our target this year.
2008/09 Cardoza's target was to be in or around the League 1 playoffs yet, despite miserable failure, Gray still had a summer to build a squad which had to challenge for promotion straight back up last season!!!! Six games into last season Cardoza finally did what he should have done six months earlier.

Shows what a tight old league this is, personally I think the play offs are a certain possibility, as for the play off finals for league 1 and 2 I am sure I read that they were agreed to be held at Old Trafford this year.
