Been told by a reliable source that bayo has been on the phone asking if there is any way that a deal can be done for him to come back in jan!  apparently he is unhappy at the gills especially with the soft approach to his training regime (he did look a bit fatter the only week!).

Also Jason Crow has enquired about coming back on loan as he doesn't get a look in at leeds!

I know a Gills fan who said Bayo's been losing weight, not gaining it

Thats because there isn't a McD's within sight of the Priestfield. The chances of Bayo, Crowe or Jackman coming back in January are somewhere between nil and zero I'd suggest!

Watched Bayo today against Dover. Came on as a sub. He's definitely put on more weight, didn't play well and looked low on confidence. Gillingham weren't just beaten they were outplayed. Troubled times at the Priestfield so wouldn't be suprised if he wants to move.

Well, we could do with him maybe, he's hardly set the world alight at Gillingham, he didn't find a club in a higher division...the bit that worries me is that he's said to be unhappy with his current fitness regime...never really did like the work, did he, and he does actually seem to have gained (even more!) weight while at Gillingham. Our style of play has improved since we stopped lumping it at Bayo, and if he's going to be even less mobile, that could be really disruptive.

Jason Crowe's 32 now, hasn't played much football in the last year and a half, hasn't ever played much outside League One and Two - it's actually not a bad shout...it's probably pretty much only Northampton fans who know what a good player he is.

We'd probably have to change our style of play just to accommodate him again. Plus which, he had plenty of time to decide whether or not he wanted to be here, and the answer to that was " No".
The only basis on which he should come back is a deal where we pay him a really basic wage plus £3,000 per goal.

And not allow him to take penalties.  Wink

In my opinion, although we missed him at first, we have moved on and it would be a backward step.

I may be mistaken but I believe Erith Cobbler is responsible for anything written on there. By the look of it that story has just been taken from this very thread.
