Yesterdays attendance 1479 with 453 Cobblers. The seats behind the goal held 455 and were at least half full  so that means there were just over 200 on the terrace Huh???

Low number, bit of a shame considering how many we took to Ipswich. Forest Green's a cracking away day too, but we gave a good accounting of ourselves noise-wise so meh.

There was at least 455. Me and my lad got there 5 minutes late and the local police helpfully guided us to the home terrace.
We zipped up our jackets to hide the claret and took the opportunity to give out some opinions. 'Their number 2 is a bit fast' - that type of stuff.
It was a bit tough when Johnson piled in the volley and Dunn saved the pen, but I think we got away with it.

We found the best technique for the goals was to give in to the jumping up, but shake the head violently as if to indicate NO! Slamming and kicking the seats afterwards helped.

Yes, 455 was somewhat a low assessment of how many of us there were. Clubs used to fiddle turnstile cash as undeclared to avoid certain taxes...does that still happen?

Bearing in mind both teams get a set % of the gate, it suits the home side to declare a lower number and keep some extra for themselves....

Not that that happens of course  Lips Sealed

Might be that they lie about the attendance at cup games so the away team only gets 50% of the published attendaces income  Huh?

I wonder if we have any photo's/video's to show this? The number 453 is surprisingly low given there was the terracing had at least 3 rows deep in places.

What's more, there didn't look 1,000 home fans there either.  Sometimes crowds can be deciving if you don't know the ground.  Remember Fleetwood fans claiming they had a couple of thousand in the South Stand a couple of season back?

The only time there has been more fans than seats in the South Stand was Man City, Fleetwood haha!
