its a sham of a red card..if that was given to fabregas or fletcher in the Prem we would never hear the end of it, and it would be overturned...no doubt the little clubs will not be given any help...Its quite funny reading these stories of how this ref seems to have upset just about everybody....He was behind the play, out of breath - resulting in large pauses once he had blown the whistle...seemingly ignored the linesmen and allowed Rico to ref the match for him....I lost count of how many yellow cards he should have had!!!

Thank god we're appealing.

I thought the John Johnson and Bayo ones over the past couple of years were "hopeful" to say the least but if this one isn't reversed then we might as well give up on the whole appeal process altogether. It's an absolutely sham of a red card and if it wasn't for the reaction of the player and his teammate he'd have got away scott free I think. It wasn't the worse red card of the weekend though... did anyone see Grant Holt's?  Grin

Out of interest, when was the last red card for an opponent? I bet we've had about 6/7 this year alone and I can't remember any against us.

Off the top of my head I remember Port Vale having one sent off in our home match with them last year. That's all evened up, then.

Well, we've had ones for Johnson, Beckwith, Osman and Tozer (this season alone from the top of my head) and then last season there was ones for Thornton and Beckwith again.

Luke Gutts had one end of last season, which was his last game I recall? How's he doing at shots?

Yes, he's had some pretty major plastic surgery and changed his first name to Andy, but you can still see the likeness.

No, I'm sorry, that was a cheap shot. Seriously, though, having seen the red cards for Holt and Osman, I watched the Prem games yesterday expecting a red for nearly every challenge - double, triple, quadruple standards...!

Yes Gutteridge and a Rotherham Player were sent of for scrapping. Cobblers had already lost Hinton in that game at the Don Valley.

How the f*** did Ivanovic (whatever his name is) stay on the pitch for Chelsea when Osman gets sent off for  winning the ball?

Was I at the wrong game. Anglia news just showed the shot that hit the crossbar whilst saying "Northampton Town got a good draw  AT 2nd place Port Vale Town" I know they prefer reporting on Norwich than us but why can't they get the  venue and the team we played right... The morning after we beat Reading they reported that we had been knocked out by losing 3-2 AET during their bulletings on GMTV

Its been that way for the last 30+ years - If it's not Ipswich or Norwich they're not interested, oh except when we win at Anfield when there's a huge bandwaggon for them to jump on

Just enjoy the bloopers! When they read out 2nd cup draw they led with NORTHAMPTON away at Sheff Wed, then followed with Bournemouth will be away at NORTHAMPTON. Er no, we don't usually play 2 teams do we?. They meant Notts Co but to be fair the team underneath was South-ampton which obviously confused the news reader. Meanwhile the weather: the temperatiure tonight will drops to 5 degrees centipede.....

A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

It's more MK Dons and P'boro now.

Other teams don't get a look in.

Ha, on Anglia dinner time weather yesterday they said that Northamptonshire would reamin foggy or with low cloud for the rest of the day. You know, that Monday yesterday when it was a clear blue cloudless sunny pretty much from dawn to dusk.

Muppets, the lot of em!
