Hoping for Torquay/Morecambe away in August...

I'm having a Cobblers away weekend as my stag do so i'm desperately hoping our first two away games aren't Stevenage and Burton...

I fancy Bradford to win it.  Port Vale, Oxford and Wycombe to do well.  Stevenage could be one of those promoted dark horse teams as well.  I reality we should be challenging as well.  Rotherham also could be challengers.

Barnet and Cheltenham are also my favourites to go down, Hereford could challenge them.

Lincoln have made a couple of handy signings already this season (Carayol from Torquay, Anyon from Port Vale) and they looked solid enough in our games against them. I'd be having a look at them at this stage.

Bradford would be my pick, Taylor has been raiding Wycombe and seems to got rid of a lot of dead wood there.

Lincoln will be handy, but the decent players that stood out for them were loan players, so will have gone back to their parent clubs.  Although Sutton has signed 2 decent enough players.

Don't rate Anyon at all. Lincoln's best player (by a distance) in the game at Sincil Bank was Somma, and he's back at Leeds.

My 50p is going on Chesterfield.

As slways though, it is so hard to call this league, you never know who is going to sign who and there will always be a dark horse (like Bournemouth last season).

Chesterfield have made a couple of good signings in their midfield so they will certainly be stronger.

If Gillingham don't lose too many players they'll be strong as well. Infact i reckon it will be a tougher league and a bigger challenge than it should have been last year.

Us, Gillingham, Bury, Morecambe, Aldershot, Wycombe, Bradford, Shrewsbury, Port Vale, Chesterfield, Rotherham will all fancy their chances of a play off spot at least and thats before you mention Lincoln, Torquay, Oxford and Stevenage...

It's going to be a battle thats for sure...

Accrington Stanley
Aldershot Town
Barnet
Bradford City
Burton Albion
Bury
Cheltenham Town
Chesterfield
Crewe Alexandra
Gillingham
Hereford United
Lincoln City
Macclesfield Town
Morecambe
NORTHAMPTON TOWN
Oxford United
Port Vale
Rotherham United
Shrewsbury Town
Stevenage
Stockport County
Southend United
Torquay United
Wycombe Wanderers

Looking at that list, we have a really, really good chance next season. The likes of Notts County and Rochdale aren't in that list any more and they've been replaced by clubs with off-field problems like Southend and Stockport. Gillingham have a lot of rebuilding to do, and Wycombe will probably do their party trick of being 10 points clear in November and finishing mid-table. Oxford coming up are probably more of a threat than any of the relegated sides, and it's disappointing Rotherham are staying down as they'll be a tricky proposition next season, but generally speaking, looking down that list fills me with confidence.

NTFC Nut don't post things with loads of colours again. I just suffered a mild epileptic fit.

Chesterfield for me this season with new ground theory being my mane reason.
They'll get 7-8,000 most weeks and will intinidate at home...

After that.....Teyn, Stevenage and Torquay...
