Could be a case that he realises his potential AFTER we have let him go perhaps, be the kick up the arse he needs maybe.

I have heard much the same as Steve Riches about Courtney's attitude and he needs to get his act together if he is to earn a new contract. I don't think that with our tight budget he has done enough to be offered new terms when the present contract is up. Also he needs to work on his close control which is not good enough at this level. Pace has to be combined with control.

Yeah, Steve Morison is a great example of that.

Hmm, interesting points. One thing i have to say that still surprises me about courtney's game is, whilst playing UCL he'd tend to play the whole game with his head down instead of looking at what was going on around him, however it still seems even though he's stepped up to the professional game, the lack of his general awareness and habit of playing with his head down STILL remains. I'd have thought with the day to day training, he'd have improved in that area.

Fair enough criticise Herbert if he is not as professional as he might be but in terms of his play, I have seen an improvement in him this season up untill his injury and I reckon he'll come on even more if he stays fit. Watch this space
