I know this Movember thing is all for charity but half the players (especially the Aussies) look like absolute tw&ts

86-2 at lunch.
Let off for Cook he should have been caught at point off Watson.
Hmmm, to sleep or not to sleep?

260 all out. Probably 300 short of what we'd hoped for!!
They say Day 1 is the most important in any Test and this was certainly the Aussies day. England need to turn in a massive day tomorrow to get themselves back in the game.

same old england, too many starts and not enough big scores, well not any big scores really.
only bell looked comfortable against an average aussie bowling attack, too many batsmen getting themselves out really.
shame - about 200 short of where we should have been at the end of the first innings - hopefully the bowlers will learn from the last 6 or 7 overs and wont bowl the same s***e tomorrow.

Cock up of a first day for England. If you elect to bat then you need to play positively and they failed to do that. The pitch is good and is only going to get better for batting, I fear for our chances in this Test match now.
On a side note I thought the umpires were excellent with their decisions - 4 referrals and every decision was upheld and spot on.

110-3 Ponting and Katich fall just after lunch and England bowling well now.
If we can restrict them to a similar score to what we got we'll have done very well.
