Quote from Swanny on Twitter:
"Howay the lads. Waking up to see the Toon have won is mint. Discovering I've knocked over a glass of water onto my iPod is not so mint."

Did you read on twitter about what Swanny said about the thunderstorm? I think it was Anderson that tweeted "Swanny said during the lightning -  f***ing paparazi will do anything for a pic" Grin

That American woman who had a twitter address of:  @theashes  not knowing what The Ashes was but attracted thousands of followers, is in Sydney at the expense of a sponsor.

She did well out of it, Quantos flew her and her boyfriend from USA to Australia and they have been teaching the rules of cricket and coaching her a bit. As you say she's at the game at the expense of the sponsors.

BTW she has also been tweeting from the match as well  Wink

Its clear the Aussies are tackling this a bit differently. Definitely trying to see out the new ball with the openers. Early days but I reckon this has got draw written all over it... Kiss

I can see this as a spinners test especially after day one, although Swanny may have an influence later on today.

Rain stops play at 111-2 which is bloody typical because I'm just about to drive to work and was looking forward to listening to the cricket.

How many dismissals have been caught in this series now?

488 for 7 with Cook (189) and Bell (115) back in the hut both with a bit of controversey surrounding them.  Grin
Prior (54) and Bresnan now in to improve on the 1st innings lead of 208 before aiming to get the convicts out for the win or just bat on for the draw.  Hopefully we are going for the win.. Wink
