He offered exactly the same as he did at Southend. Nothing.
You might as well just said "Nothing"

He also jibbed out of a couple of tackles, which because he's coming back from injury, you can understand, but he should be doing that for Chesterfield reserves NOT our first team

It's crazy isn't it? What other club would sign Olly Banks on loan and stick him in ahead of someone of the calibre of Ivan Toney!
It's no coincidence either that some of our contracted players are struggling for form because they are only being used as bit parts when the loanees are not available. The likes of Langers, Carter and even Hackett and Tozer must know they are not in Wilders long term plans and that would have no doubt effected their confidence. Plus of course Duke.
We've gone from a cohesive positive group of players to a disilusioned squad in the space of a few weeks. We know and they know that in 3 games time another group of players will come in and the revolving door will continue. It's heart breaking to see such a talented number of players really struggling and you can only point the finger in the direction of the manager to find the root cause of this.
The marking for the first goal yesterday displayed a total lack of understanding what each players job was. It's a constant over the course of the last few weeks.
I cannot recall a single time in our recent past when virtually the entire support base isn't demanding the new signings to stop the rot...we just want to see our own players utilised in their correct positions and the loanees sent back to their respective clubs. They offer nothing in the short term and have created significant problems for the medium term.

Couldn't agree more. I used to get excited when we signed a new player - now it just makes me feel slightly nauseous.

Noticed on the "Player" interview after the game that he's now blaming the players who he inherited as well. He more or less said he was stuck with them until their contracts are close to ending. Wonder how that makes them feel when they are picked to play ?

Have a read of JL comments/player ratings of the game - maybe those on 4 will be off

He also mentioned having to give out contracts longer than he would have liked. I suspect this is aimed at the likes of Ravenhill, Hackett, Sinclair, O'Toole.

Seems like a very good example of how not to motivate your players to me, and as for bringing them in today, what's that going to achieve other than lowering squad morale further? It's his team, he had every chance to get the players he wanted in the summer, indeed he did. Back on topic, I like most would have preferred Toney to start, but I thought Banks was better than some are suggesting.

If Banks starts ahead of Toney / D'ath then Wilder needs sacking !

Somehow he managed to be even more anonymous than even O'Toole was at his very worst, to the extent that when he was substituted, I genuinely had forgotten he had been born in the first place, let alone become a football player.

Send back the Loanees......Banks could begin to rival Alfei & Archer in being the most useless.

Done us a favour, we'll soon be left with just our own players.
