And which day IS Sinclair's day?
April 1st?
I have seen absolutely nothing from Emile Sinclair in a Cobblers shirt in 10 months that suggests he is even half the player we know Alex Nicholls can be. He's akin to Constantine in my book.
Your problem is that you have not seen enough matches - for instance at Rochdale Sinclair played very well. I have yet to see Nicholls make this season an overall confident contribution to any game with the exception of a well taken goal against Wimbledon. Nicholls before his injury was a useful L2 player but he is not the same player post injury. Hoping that Nicholls can be the Nichols of old is wishful thinking.

An obvious difference is that Sinclair is on a 3 year deal and Nicholls is here til January, so if one of the two have to leave to balance the books, who's going to be more likely?

2 year deal - until June 2016.

What meds are some of you lot on? What are 'meds'? Also, I think some of you need to stop being so emotional. Nicholls is nowhere near the player he was when he got his injury and as sad as that is, we're not running some kind of charity.

I think some of you need to stop being so emotional. Very true. That could be said about many topics argued discussed about on here.

Did you see him play at Orient? Because I did and he was absolute dogs***e. I've seen more matches than I've missed this season, and I saw nearly every match since Sinclair joined last year. It's not going to make any difference if I see him play the occasional extra game here and there. I could watch him every day of the week and he'd still be embarrassingly sh*t.

The problem with Sinclair is that he looks every inch the footballer until the ball gets involved. His movement off the ball is exemplary and he shows really good instincts and vision - certainly can't question his work rate and defenders must hate trying to track him and keep shape. Not sure how far it's a confidence issue, but it all goes wrong when he has the ball - seems scared of it and his touch and finishing are abysmal.
Even pre-injury, Nicholls would go missing for long periods in games, but he's the opposite of Sinclair in that he comes to life with the ball and, however quiet he might be, you're always just a touch or two away from a great goal - he loves the ball. So, for the potential to change the game, I'd take Nicholls. I still wonder if there's a player in there somewhere with Sinclair, given a run of injury free games in a settled side....

He had that last season though. Wilder stuck with him and stuck with him and stuck with him and eventually had no alternative but to drop him or we'd have gone down. Were you at Cobblers v Portsmouth? Do you remember THAT header?
