People on here keep repeating that Wilder doesn't know what he's doing, doesn't know his best team, picks the wrong players or draws the names out of a hat. Therefore I would like to ask you all to please select the starting line-up you think we should have against Bury on Boxing Day. Let's see just how much different your "best eleven" is to that of the side Wilder selects.

Given lack of viable right back - this is going to be very hard!!
I think we lack a grip in midfield so I would go 3-5-2 - i do not see anybody who can take a grip of the game in the middle
Duke
Collins Diamond Cresswell
d'Ath Murdoch Carter Byrom Horwood
Richards Toney

You are missing one big point Marvo. And that is, Wilders clueless team selections have destroyed many of our decent players. Hackett, K-Mo, Carter...even JJ OToole...are all shot to bits now because loanees have taken their places or they have been played completely out of position.
Would you have brought in 2 defenders yesterday who hadn't played for roughly 4 months each? And then expect the defence to be solid? Would you have dropped Collins?
So asking people to now write down a team to see how differently it is to Wilders selection is illustrating his woeful management even more. Which I don't believe you were trying to do!

Bury have not won in 8 games. That doesn't bode well whatever the starting line up is.

That's a complete cop-out! You said he should drop Alfei, he did. You said he should play Duke and send Archer back. He has. In fact he keeps doing what you ask but we still keep failing what does that tell you about your opinion? As for your question, of course I would have bought Diamond and Horwood straight back in as soon as I could. They are in my eyes both certain starters and anyway, it was not like I'd be disrupting a winning formula.

May I suggest that you first select your team so we can then all have a go. It cant be that far off yesterdays team!

According to the stats on the official site Toney picked up his 5th booking yesterday so surely he wont be playing against Bury.

It's not a cop out! Based on ability it would be Duke, Collins (right back), Horwood, Diamond, Creswell, Hackett, K-Mo, Carter, Murdoch, Richards and D'Ath (assuming Toney is suspended).
But factoring in form it wouldn't. Go back to my previous post which explains this.

No arguments with that selection but eight of that side played yesterday; Cresswell is injured anyway and D'ath came on as a sub. Only Collins is the odd man out. You might as well be Wilders non de plume on here!

If that's directed at me I would point you in the direction of my opening sentence. "People on here keep repeating that Wilder doesn't know what he's doing, doesn't know his best team, picks the wrong players or draws the names out of a hat." As I'm not one of these people I don't see why you need my selection. I'm happy to leave it to the manager.

The cut of for five yellows was end of November.

Out of the last three games, only 6 players have started all three. We need some continuity and I think we can definitely start with Duke in goal, the exact same back 4 against Carlisle (lets be honest, most of us would pick that defence if everyone was available), replace Banks with D'ath or Mohamed and keep Richards and Toney up front. That is more or less the team we played regularly when we were actually doing well earlier in the season.

If Hornby is fit I'd bring him into midfield. A classy player.

I really do not see the point of Banks in the XI.
