Bill, can see your point about hornby although with cw's ruthless cull this month i would've thought if he didn't rate him he would 've got rid, unless of course he's on peanuts and at a push cw thinks he could fill a gap.

There was a recent rumour that Hornby was wanted on U21 trials at a prem club, think it was Wwst Ham, but it got blocked for some reason.

Guess it depends on how much his wage is. I can understand us pulling out if Swindon tried to con us into thinking that we were just paying his wage.

However we seemed happy enough with the cost to get so far into the deal so it can't be a ridiculous price.
It seems to have gone a bit cold on the rumours front, is Wilder still looking for a striker or is he happy now Holmes has signed.

Appears that Billy Bodin is still at the club so I'd expect him to be the striker. No other additions needed.

So we've swapped one striker/winger on a short term deal with a dodgy leg for another one?

FYI... according to Wikipedia Alex Nicholls scored 28 goals in 219 games for Walsall. Shows that past prowess is no real judge of current potential.

Bodin is probably only here as cover anyhow.

Sir Clive was never brought in to be a 3rd choice striker/back up to wingers.

Anyone expecting a goalscorer to come in as 3rd choice are deluded. If and when Richards gets injured, I'd still expect us to sign a goalscorer on loan from the leagues above.

I expect bodin to act as 3rd choice striker and to cover out wide if needed. Decent back up.

Boddy would be 3rd choice no wonder he looks happy on the NTFC pic.

Bodin's hardly a striker. A wide forward yes, so essentially a winger. Im confused.

He claims he likes to play "in the hole".

I think the only way we'll see someone else come in is if we suddenly get an irresistible bid for one of ours.

Like someone said earlier, any further injuries will be covered by a loanee.

Would still like to see a big striker, just gives us the opportunity to mix things up as and when needed. A keeper would be dreamland too. But if we want to push on would love to see us just get another option in up top

Doesn't Marc Richards do the job of a big striker and he scores goals.
