Probably not, for the reasons already given...

We need a pacey striker to run in behind and stretch the opposition and give us that option if needed.

We also need to sign Holmes or get someone to replace him if not possible.

Otherwise aside from any injuries/suspensions I would not alter the squad between now and May.

Another striker is an absolute must.
We do not need another defender, we just got rid of a perfectly decent one.

I'm not sure Cov have a pot to piss in. I wouldn't worry too much about that at the moment.

Possibly, but hopefully Wilder is looking elsewhere for an actual attacking full back as cover for Horwood...

Newey did OK but is a bog standard left back who doesn't attack & is not getting any younger...

We shall see...

Horwood is our left back so just as cover Newey would be fine. I'm not sure we're going to get much better just to sit on the bench.

Personally I wouldn't be signing Newey, Collins is a perfectly competent left back as he demonstrated under Aidy Boothroyd.

However, if Wilder feels we really need cover then he'll do for a bench warmer until summer.

It was always a certainty CW would go back for Tom Newey , as one of his favourite cronies from Oxford.

Hope Ricky Holmes signs.

As has been said , we do need another striker.......BTW:if only Ivan Toney's agent hadn't screwed up the Wolves deal ....looks like defenders & referees  have sussed him out in this division.

Both would be good acquisitions for us. I met tom a few weeks ago and he told me he was keen to come on a permanent basis and Ricky has shown his quality. The future's bright, the future's claret and white. Well done CW.  Cheesy Cheesy

32 year old Oxford reject who doesn't improve the starting XI and plays in a position where we already have adequate cover. Underwhelming!

Excellent signing. Very difficult to get an experienced player in willing to start on the bench, knowing he's only here as cover for an established player. Hard to see how we could have done any better. Good stuff.

By using the budget to bring in a player we actually need?

2 experienced defenders on the bench already in the last game.

None of which are a left back who has played nearly 500 games in that position.

We don't "need" anybody but having cover for a position where there is no cover within the squad is a pretty good idea I think.
