Just like McKay and King then!
King has played the last 3 games, and McKay has played more than Jarvis recently.

Lets just try and keep it to single figures today.

3-0 defeat and no red cards would be a good result.

King has played the last 3 games

And done f*** all.

McKay has played more than Jarvis recently.

He was dropped for a reason and hasn't started a league match for a month.

I see what you are trying to say but surely Jarvis was worth a gamble today so we can see what he is capable of. He won't gain sharpness on the bench!

Thornton and Jacobs should be on the pitch, they're more suited to playing higher level opposition, they'd get more time on the ball and are technically better than anything else we've got.

Agreed. The line up today screams damage limitation. Which is a real shame, because we gave it a real go against Reading and Liverpool and got our rewards.

I'm a bit confused as to what you are saying. In your original post you said it didn't say much about Jarvis if King and McKay were picked ahead of him, and now you are saying he was worth a gamble.

Unfortunately, the current state of our striking options means we have 2 players who will work hard for the team, but don't really look like putting the ball in the net. Jarvis may well be a different type of striker, but if he hasn't played in ages then surely it is best to ease him in in this game, see how he does, and go from there.

Sounds like we might just be starting to get a foothold in this game.

This game has driven me to drink. Cans of Stella with Jack Daniels chasers. You've got to have a hobby.
