By my quick and dirty assessment I reckon we have just gone through the 100 loan players mark since Cardoza bought the club.
That is a lot of money p1ssed down the drain.
Richard Johnson was the 1st under Terence Fcukwit

People get overly obsessed with the whole loan thing. There is no reason why a side with a number of loan players can't do well as Swindon are proving tonight going top of league 1 with 5 loanees in their starting eleven.

I still get Richard Johnson on my shirt every season. What a stand out player he was in recent history.

We should use this to our advantage, and have WONGA as our shirt sponsors next season.

It would be interesting to see the stats as to how we compare to other clubs when it comes to borrowing players. It would put the whole debate to bed!
I would hazard a guess that we would be comparable to our rivals. My issue is that we usually borrow completely cack players. How many of those have actually been decent? 20percent?

Some pretty good dross there too - seems that our Managers have a better eye for players than the experts on here.

Worth remembering though that some loan contracts are for a longer term than some 'permanent' contracts, some loan signings are effectively permanent signings but made loans initially due to timings and the transfer window, and that we can bail out of a long-term loan signing when it's clearly a mistake (Alfei....). May just be me, but I'm not sure I would back myself to say 100% who is with us on loan and who is 'ours' without doing some checking - it's just how footballers are employed now.

The amount of loan players aren't the issue, it's the quality of them that is important. Plus when it goes wrong on the pitch it is much easier to blame them for not caring etc etc than to look for other reason.

People keep slating Alfie and Archer but both were highly regarded before they came here.
Archer will continue to be so after he leaves, Alfie not so sure about but its not like he was an Ashley corker where it was obvious he would be dire.
Surely Cobblers from all football fans know that you can spend money on a proven scorer and he can turn out s***e.
Its not the amount of loans for the quality of the loans that's worrying.
The only worrying thing is how long he persisted with Alfie.

The only worrying thing about that is the fact that wilders are in the space of a year. Doesn't really allow for a decent plan to build and develop.
