"...Awful awful player. The news are on a wind up giving him player of the year. He was lazy, weak, uninterested throughout the winter, no left foot, set pieces dire, and a goal every 31 games. I would of paid to see him leave, offloading for a free is a result im deadly serious...."
Not the greatest review on Sherlock from a Pompey fan....seems the key to getting the best out of him is to keep him motivated and focussed....over to you CW.

If he's got no left foot then it must've been an illusion on Saturday when, whislt facing towards the corner flag he wrapped his left peg around the ball and stood it up at the back stick.

Who cares what he has been like for them, he has been pretty good for us, and if he pops up with a left footed winner against Pompey even the sweeter.

...we're also told about this huge budget so assuming it does exist, best get spending it.
Well, maybe it does exist. Well done, Mr Cardoza.
The cancer is back - The self appointed voice of reason in his own front room. So we have to look forward to more cringe worthy and unfunny replies to anyone who questions the obvious. Chairman of a football club provides budget... stop the press. Yes well done DC. There are 92 league chairman doing exactly the same, except currently 81 chairman are above DC in the league of chairman. What do they provide for their clubs? Name me one thing DC does better than those 81.

One thing that annoys me with the budget talk is the fact that the last budget that has been talked about, the one being 5th highest, was for last year. Our constant turnover of managers and players the last few years has surely distorted this figure. I'm not knocking DC for this at all by the way as he does generally support the manager, I just don't like how it gets reported, it's as if we should be expecting to be 5th in the league at the minute based on last seasons budget. All it says to me is that despite our miraculous escape we had an unbelievably underachieving season.

Well I will. Although I have been critical of his business acumen he does supply a meaningful budget. We pay what we can afford and if we require more he provides the additional finance. NTFC pay their bills on time. They do not use Creditors and state money to fund their business model. It is easy to say he should show more ambition but in truth he is using his and the clubs money.

If we believed rival fans, Taylor, O'Toole, D'ath, Holmes would have us set for guaranteed relegation.

Yes, letting Snipe Dog back onto our beloved forum after such a quick and ineffectual ban is a tad harsh... on the rest of us!

I think a lot of the feedback other clubs fans give is affected by the roles players are asked to fulfill at those clubs.
With Taylor as an example, if he was played in a 4-4-2, I suspect he'd look pretty limited and his lack of passing range would be more exposed as in that system he'd be required to do more than the destructive role he plays in our 4-2-3-1 set up.
