I am, I can't help it. After the best performance I've seen from the side since I don't know when on Saturday, especially the first half and the signings today I'm just about as optimistic about our future as I've ever been or at least since Calderwood. After a reasonable start, we (and Wilder) suffered badly from injuries, it was almost enough to cost the man at the helm his job (must have been close) but he, the team and the supporters have pulled through and I reckon this could now be our year. When was the last time we had a better starting eleven than this? I don't know. Having never bet on the Cobblers before in my life, I'm putting my money where my mouth is. Me and the boy have stuck £50 on at 40/1. Crazy bet I guess but who cares, it's only money. I'm also going to start having to wangle days off again, just want to be part of it. The doom mongers have held sway on here for far too long, it's now time for the optimists among us to take control. The futures bright, the futures claret & white.

Good post Marvo - if only though as I see Cordwainer Bill has already put his oar in. 33/1 might put a tenner on that!

You and Marvo caused the automated program which fixes odds on events like this to shift the odds.

Oi Mrs E!! its only the "doom mongers" who hold the club to account (the trust dont bother) and are not prepared to put up with the tripe that has been served up over the last god knows how long. You ,maybe happy to just go along for the ride but some like to form opinions on what they see.

Well said, Bill. You do sanctimonious bollocks like a professional. (Although not a professional in written English, If I may be so bold?)

And ...(the trust dont bother)... looks suspiciously like snipEing to me.

Tis true, but my wealth would suggest it really is a non issue, so you may indeed be as bold as you like my friend.

Yep, moaning constantly on a message board is definitely holding the club to account.

Big shots.

My son and I put a tenner each, on us to be promoted, we put it on two weeks before the season started. 10-1 then.

It certainly feels like a good time to be following the cobblers. The redevelopment fiasco annoys me more than it does some others but with the way we played Saturday that's all that's been thought about. Let's keep this going at Stanley, UTC

Talking of buzzing...when's the Paddington - Temple Meads line going to be electrified?

Accrington on Sat...hope to be buzzing, suspect just freezing!

Everyone calm down. Talk of play offs is ridiculous. Good little runs like this never last half a season. Teams will work our new tactics out, we will get injuries, and we'll end up finishing around 9th. Sorry.
