Jeremy Simpson middling for the visit of York City. We haven't seen him for a while, his last Cobblers games were at home to D&R (W3-1) on New Years Day 2013 and the 0-0 draw at home to Chesterfield in Sep 2012. 7 Reds/76 cautions in 22 games this season could be ominous?

York have always been a stubborn side. On paper we should win but you never know.
We draw 1-1 back in August but its fairly even across the years
Cobb Wins 19 York Wins 13 Draws 16
I'll say a 2-0 win, 2 Rico pens 89min and 90min

For goodness sake Doc we are NOT going down you heard it here 1st (I damn well hope that does not come back to haunt me)

We have an excellent league home record against York, 11 wins, 7 draws and 4 defeats, half of those coming in our last two meetings at Sixfields.
Nailed on 3 points for me, it has to be if we are to maintain any hope of getting into those play-offs.

The bookies don't seem to think it is nailed on, the Cobblers can be backed to win at a best price 5/4 at Bet Victor.
That seems on paper a very attractive price, lump on!

That would do nicely, that and news of work starting again imminently. Or are two good things on the same day over optimistic ?

Thing is, I can't see how DC has agreed to an open forum on 26th if he doesn't have anything concrete (excuse the pun) to update us with ref the redevelopment. Why else would he do it?

Is he actually going to the forum or will his presence be broadcasted live from the broom cupboard?

He'll probably say the dispute is "almost sorted" and building work will "almost restart", and that we're "almost back on track".....that should satisfy the nodding dogs.

this made me chuckle.. Diego De Girolamo is set to feature for York after rejoining from Sheffield United on a third loan spell.
The 19-year-old forward, who scored four goals in eight appearances for the Minstermen earlier this season, is out of contract in the summer, with York facing competition for his signature from Italian giants Juventus and Premier League club Sunderland.
