It will surely also depend on Stockport being able to get down safely. I think that the match is unlikely to go ahead unless there is a dramatic change in the weather tomorrow (which is not expected).

It's predicted to be minus 15 in Stockport tonight - hope they've left already!

I still think it'll be off.
We are forecast further sleet/snow/freezing rain overnight tonight. And with ground temparatures now so low, the car parks and our beloved access and egress points will be frozen solid. Unfortunately, salt is not a magic substance. It helps lower the freezing point of any moisture but only when it is moved - so the first people using the car parks and walking down the hill might find it a tad tricky if it is on.

Maybe they should lay some of that special Tarmac you were talking about in the pub before Port Vale x

Interesting that the programme states a 3.15pm kick off. Why would they do that?

We're due some rain in the middle of the night for an hour or so, and that will be hand-in-hand with a rise of temperature above freezing. I reckon the game will definitely be on.

Which previous game are you referring to? as I'll ask the question of Head of Media, Phil Brennan, who is programe fanantic. He is scanning in EVERY page of EVERY programe they have! The only club to do this, he believes...... FACT: He also advised me "COWS" is their colloquial name for ...County Official Web Site! 50/50Phil

Hope you're right, the club officials and volunteers spend days and hours in preparation - hate to see it all wasted. 50/50 Phil

The snow is really coming down now up here ............... on its way southwards.
A lot is going to depend on whether it freezes afterwards.

Pitch inspection at 9.30. The pitch has got some frozen bits but is generally good. The club is expecting +2 deg tonight and rain which will help it provided it stays above zero. Fingers crossed cause I really want to go....
