I agree. shall we not bother with first place and just give second and third? 2. Moloney 3. D'Ath

I've got the top three in that order as well. 1/Holmes 2/Moloney 3/D'Ath

Holmes. Much better from d'Ath - a mixture of poor choices from him and poor reading from team-mates from a higher performance.

Ricky "the most technically gifted & skilful player we've had since Martin Smith" Holmes That tracking back, before going on yet another dazzling run, in the second half was something else... He shouldn't be playing in league 2 but thank fook he is (for now!)

Holmes.
When he tracked back to win the ball at right back facing goal, turned their player and then brought it forward about 60 yards - one of my favourite moments of recent seasons.

Holmes. There isn't a better player in the league. Andy Awford is a great man.

Whilst the obvious choice is Holmes there were signs that D'ath is getting back to form so for that reason alone he gets my vote based on that; rather than the obvious and well merited choice of Holmes.
Holmes tracking back to win the ball from their player who was in on goal, who had a good head start on Holmes and then turned with the ball and made up 50 yds the other way was a great and defining memory of the game. For that alone Holmes should be player of the year.
