GJ, ADB wasn't too bad until Wembley...

I agree, to be fair to ADB he had a really good season up until that awful day and the big surprise was how weren't able to maintain the progress the next season. It's difficult to point to anything specific although I remember letting Bayo go was often mentioned. Naturally DC held off the sacking hoping we would suddenly find some form. I was surprised he sacked him without getting someone lined up in the background to replace him as is normal practice. This left Andy King with an impossible task while they went through the process that should have been long done quietly before the sacking.

Although that season we got to Wembley we were shocking away from home - the amount of games we got walloped away from home!

Boothroyd's fatal error for me were letting Bayo and Guttridge go, not doing enough to get Cameron signed and his continual love for Clive Platt.

You could argue Bayo and Guttridge were both potentially disruptive players. Apparently Bayo has his own 'training regime' which basically seems to consist solely of bench pressing and Guttridge is rather feisty in the dressing room. Bayo is on his 14th move within 12 clubs and Gutts is on his 11th at 9 clubs so it seem as if moving them on is a regular occurrence.
Nathan Cameron only joined on loan right at the end of the season so it's difficult to tell how he would have done with us. I remember his first game was a bit of a disaster although he's playing well at Bury.
Clive Platt. What can you say? It was a stupid signing right from the start despite the enthusiasm for some fans and we were saddled with him. If the club was a bit richer he could have been sidelined to the reserves and forgotten about but as it was he had to make up the numbers. Did he leave straight after ADB was sacked?

Platt was released on 10 Jan by Andy King and he went on to sign Matty Blair and Sean McGinty!

I might be old fashioned. But surely the beauty of football is that you can dislike teams, players and managers just because you want. Since when did we need to dissect everything to posses an opinion...  Grin

Let's hope Johnson can get Cheltenham a win against Stevenage today.

Would like Cheltenham to stay up as its a decent, convenient away day for me.

It would be a double to celebrate if both Johnson's teams - Yeovil and Cheltenham - both end up bottom of their leagues.

Suspect there might be a rather large proportion of fans based down near the dug outs if what I was hearing yesterday is true.

He will probably remember most of them from his last time here...
