It could be said that he is returning to the Conferance. Then get them back up. He then would be able to say, he 's got another promotion under his belt, But when they go down this season he will say, The player's got us relegated!

It looks like both Johnson's clubs are going down, what a shame for him, I don't think.

There still is a chance we could relegate them!

It's the usual self-defence strategy: "the players all signed up to keeping us in the league and they've let me and the club down....".

And he'll still get the media raving about him being the best manager in the lower leagues.

Fair play to Johnson, he's managed to get two clubs relegated in one season. A very impressive feat.

Having listened to his after match interview I'm pleased to report that despite losing all but 1 of the games he has been manager, nothing has been his fault.

Fitness, attitude blah blah.....

What a complete tool, I couldn't be happier that it went badly for him.

I feel for Cheltenham but the truth is they got what they deserved after appointing Mr J.

If I were a Cheltenham fan I'd be screaming "Why?  Why?  Why?"

There are mixed views but the general consensus at Cheltenham is that he's blameless and the man for the job.
That's at least two seasons in the conference then.

He won't stay at Cheltenham: he can't afford to because he needs to leave while he can still play the 'blameless' card.

In fairness, I recall that being the consensus here the summer after he took Sammo's mid-table side and nearly got it relegated. It was only the season after when it became apparent he'd signed a crock of s***e that people started to turn on him.

To me he's reached demi god status. According to BBC on 22 April last season Yeovil still had a highly unlikely but still possible chance to stay in the championship - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27112755.....so three relegations in one calendar year.  Go Gazzer

According to Sky Sports News yesterday Cheltenham want Johnson as their manager next season. Good luck to them !

He has now signed a deal to "nick a living" off Cheltenham for two years.
