Whilst I hope Blackpool fans get rid of the Oyston family and get their club back, I don't know why people are paying into a fund for someone who has admitted what he posted was incorrect. Yes it's his Facebook account etc but you still can't post anything you like or make up allegations against people. I would not give my hard earned cash to pay someone else's "fine". I don't agree in any way with what they are doing or have done with the supporters but even so I would not be paying anything.

Surely if you post something libellous on the internet then you are exposing yourself to the risk of legal action?
The penalty seems very high here but that's the way libel works.
Limited sympathy from me.

Well, let's be glad that Cardoza doesn't think the same way, or he'd have had got enough from this board to have been able to complete the stadium without the council loan.

Questions, even very uncomfortable ones, are not the same as allegations.

And just look at the fabulous PR the Oystons have gained for taking such action.
The perfect way to endear yourself to the local community and attract business interest.
Pointless, petty and has achieved absolutely nothing.

I would help a fellow Cobbler in similar circumstances (God forbid) but my charity donations in recent times have been fed towards cancer charities etc. I hope this chap gets the 20k to pay it...he's got most of it already...but I feel it's one that needs to be supported on a localised basis.
As for the Oystons...well they are scum. In my opinion of course!
