A jack of all trades and a master of none and that is his big problem. He is second choice in nearly every position. Off the bench at best.

Lots of good points in here.
Couldn't agree more that keeping Collins should be a priority. He's an exceptional defender with the ability to bring it down and play it out from the back - very rarely loses the ball.
If Collins does sign, defensive options of Maloney, Diamond, Cresswell, Collins, Horwood + a stand-in full back or two would be real luxury for this level IMO. Throw in a quality replacement for Duke and it would be the best base we've had since the days of Dyche, Doig et al.
Tozer must go. I know some like his versatility and so on but for me it beggars belief that he's clung onto a (very good) contract for this long. He can't pass! That said, his commitment can't be faulted and so would wish him well elsewhere.

How do we know that Tozer is on a "very good" contract?

An assumption? Compared to who/what?

I seem to remember talk of his wages being realigned to his abilities at the start of this season. As for Jack of all trades, well that is a result of what he has been repeatedly asked to do over the past few years. The only thing you can blame him for, is always accepting. If he had refused, and we went into matches with a youth LB/RB/CM who knows if we would have survived in L2?

Can't blame him accepting and seeing out the contract given to him by ADB. His contract is up in the summer. We offer him his worth and/or what we can afford, he takes it or leaves it. Simples.

Absolutely. And if you remember correctly he signed his deal just a few days after Wembley; he didn't hang about dithering!! As I said in a previous post, I would like him to stay but it may be a case that was he is offered here will be de motivating for him which would be a shame for us because he can provide adequate cover in a number of positions as well as possessing the long throw although Wilder never seems to want us to utilise that. I've a hunch that he will leave because at his age he needs to be starting games week in week out and it's clear as day that isn't going to be the case here. Money aside.

Sorry, I should clarify. I wasn't suggesting that Tozer should have walked because he was on too much money! Just that I'm surprised he hasn't been chopped before now, especially given that Wilder has publicly alluded to the fact that he believes Tozer is on too much for a player of his ability. Wilder offered Tozer an extension on reduced terms, Tozer said no thanks and can't be blamed for that.

Good news, decent player, decent signing! Just needs to bring a bit more discipline into his game so that we can maximise his undoubted potential and quality. 12 bookings would suggest he's a dirty player....I don't think he is......but refs and opponents might....and they don't need excuses to wind him up or book him!!!

Good bit of business and his signing so early has got to auger well for next season.

Great news. Really happy the club has been so proactive getting these done early. Regarding the yellows Byrom has had to give up fouls to stop counter attacks on several occasions, cheap but necessary cards.
Can't remember the last time we had the core of our squad under contract for 2 years still.

"Cheap but necessary" You mean cheating?

Really pleased with this news at it sends out a positive message to other potential signings. He's been really good in 2015 since Taylor arrived.
Will be nice to see a summer of gradual positive evolution instead of a complete revolution for a change.
