I don't think it says much about these POTS that O'Toole could still theoretically win the award while Richards can finish no higher than 6th.

Or perhaps it says that Richards has missed a good deal of the season through injury, and O'Toole is greatly underrated by many of our fans, and often has very good games. I don't think we would have been 3-0 down at HT yesterday if JJOT had been fit and playing instead of Girolamo. My vote goes to D'Ath.

Whereas O'Toole missed a good deal of our season through being shipped out on loan for being sh*t!

No he didn't, he only missed three games.

The point remains, being sent out on loan to a rival team to 'sort yourself out' doesn't exactly scream player of the season, especially when there are so many candidates far more deserving of the award. Do you know why he 'only' missed 3 games? Because Southend thought he was sh*t too! O'Toole has been an abject failure this season and it's a travesty that he's even in with a shout of the POTS.
