Traditionally, Canadian strikers have always done well for the Cobblers.
Can only think Carlo Corazzin but have there been any more?

The odd mention on twitter of Ryan Clarke possibly coming here. Just assumptions I guess based on his history with wilder but he's definitely a solid keeper.

I don't think so some how, he only recently (January 2014) signed a new 3 year deal at Oxford.

I guess if Appleton prefers Jamie Ashdown then he'd be a free transfer... But I fully expect a goalkeeper to come in on a season long loan.

Clarke has been told he can leave Oxford, could do a good job for you, good shot stopper, only weakness I would say is he doesn't command penalty area and not the best on crosses/high balls in 6 yard area

Played mostly League one, with some games in Championship.

I did some research most assists in a season in league two, with 12 goals to his name when he was only starting out.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but I see Wigan have signed a new goalkeeper, so even if Carson leaves which I have no idea if he will it will mean Nicholls will be 2nd choice at best. Surely he needs to be playing games at this stage in his career so a loan might not be out of the question?

Mark Bunn has tweeted that he's left Norwich

That would be amazing but it's not going to happen. He's only 30 and surely good enough to play for a lower league championship club / top league one club. However, all the pleas from cobblers fans on his twitter must make him feel good. CW does like dishing out 3 year deals....

Goal! Northampton Town 2, Wycombe Wanderers 3. Alfie Mawson left footed shot from the centre of the box to the top right corner. Assisted by Steven Craig.

I'd assume so

Are you suggesting we are in for him? Would be some coup considering his reputation.
Plus he'd command a fee (or only be available on loan).
