Tragic news today that ex-assistant manager Andy King has passed away.

RIP Andy.

Shocked to hear this. Playing wise he was a bit before my time, but I can only thank him for all his efforts with the club. Never a dull moment, a great character. I even backed him for the manager's job pre-Wilder before our 0-0 draw with Pompey that season in a Radio Northampton interview and loved him after that win away at Newport

All the best to his friends and family. A decent bloke, gone at a relatively young age Rip

Indeed. Ensured his name in Cobblers folklaw for that short stint pre-Wilder whilst managing with both arms tied behind his back. Left in a very dignified manner.

A minutes aplause prior to the first home game next season must surely be a certainty. RIP.

Some great lines in this interview - bags of honesty and humour. Sad day.

Believe me (and this is compliment) Andy was not too nice - you don't get to be drinking mates with Mick Harford by being too nice - but aside of that as I've said before, fantastic bloke - honest, funny and an out and out football man.

RIP Andy, one of the nice guys in the game. My dad spoke to him once while waiting to get on the bus outside Sixfields and told him he'd been following the Cobblers for over 60 years. "60 years watching this lot?" Kingy shot back "You must need your head looking at."  Grin

Rip Andy King. I liked the bloke. Always said it as it was, but capable of some wonderfully biting one-liners. Thoughts go out to his friends and family. A tragic loss.

Terrible news, good idea about 1 minute applause next season. Really good article on him in Saturday I newspaper. RIP Andy.
