I thought it was outstanding. A lot more like the old days. Brought back the magic of the F.A. Cup. So much better than ITV. The boy Lineker's quite a good broadcaster you know. Just a shame those scumbags won the match!

As good as Sky's coverage is, nothing can top the Beeb when they present Sport.

I would choose the BBC over Sky/ITV/BT anyday. I think they can all do a good job but the best thing about BBC is it's advert free ! I pay sky over £60 a month and almost half the programming is adverts which you are of course paying to watch. If you look at Sky Sports news for any length of time you will find there are adverts about every 7 minutes, it's a disgrace.

Agreed, but then that's apparently what the majority of people want - free enterprise and nothing state run - keeps the scroungers in check don't you know!

Just on Linekar - have to agree, when he first started in the media he was simply dreadful but really grown in the job and becoming a bit of an institution - and well done him also re his comments on FIFA

It's so much better now the final has a day to itself after the season is over.
Perhaps the big clubs will take it seriously when they realise they would get a showcase for the whole day to a worldwide audience. That's a lot of advertising for their brand.

All we need now is for it to kick off at 3.00pm, who ever thought it was a good idea to kick off at 5.30 wants their arse kicking.

It apparently adds around 2 million to the tv viewing figures.

How anyone can call this Arsenal team 'scumbags' I don't know, some of the best football i've ever seen in that final. Arsenal thoroughly deserved it. I had a brilliant day, managed to go for the second year running, Arsenal are my second club. Sanchez's goal really was something special

Great "third eye" at 2 mins 42 secs - seems to have no idea the goal has been scored.

I was also there at Wembley for the third year running with results progressively getting better. (Cobblers and The Gunners twice). Excellent day concluded by an outstandingly professional performance. With Gladbach qualifying for the CL group stages, only Cobblers failed to deliver of my three football teams but I am hopeful for the coming season.
