Hello fellow cobblers
It is with the deepest sadness that I have to tell you all that my Dad known on here as "A View from the East" passed away Sunday morning. My father & myself have been cobblers fans for over 25 years and Season ticket holders in the east stand for the past 6 years. He throughly enjoyed the good natured banter on this board and I always looked forward to him telling me the latest goings on every saturday. Dad as everyone had his opinions on players, management & the club in general as you all probably know, never afraid to voice his feelings on match days every time Hackett ran out of pitch, Ivan missing from 2 yards & John joes lack of any ability!
I will miss him dearly & will hope he's up there with the fellow cobblers in the sky willing us onto a successful season.
A View from the East... Signing out.

Really sorry to hear this. Enjoyed reading your dads posts. Balanced, informed and with humour. A few more of him and the board would be a much better place. Condolences to you and your family.

Oh Lord. Never knew your dad personally, but this still comes as a shock. Will be sadly missed on here as well as at the Cobblers.

Really tragic news. My heart goes out to you and your family. As others have said, your dad always presented balanced and sensible views, and his posts often displayed good humor. He will be missed. RIP Easty, you was a good 'un.

My sincere condolences, as others have said he was one of the better posters on here and always talked sense without (as far as I can recall!) getting involved in any of the silly squabbling. What a shame that a fellow East Stand refugee will now never make it "home".

Sad news - always honest in his opinions on here. Chin up though as he has best seat now.
